better! mostly lol

My tooth is better and almost fixed! lol. I just have to go back Wednesday to get the permanent crown put on. I only have a little spot about the size of a quarter on my chin that is still numb. Which is an improvement lol. I had a great time with my friend from high school. No hang over was to be had I was responsible. I did found out that my trip to Disney world is canceled now because of air fare prices. Which is sad, but we are going to try and reschedule for spring break. I am still dealing with the messed up nerve in my back. I finished the steroid pack she gave me, and I have not seen any improvement thus far. Its a bit of a downer, but I guess it is just something I am going to have to learn to deal with. I did have an awesome Wednesday night though! I asked my boyfriend to pick me up a vitamin water or something from circle k on his way home. Instead he brings me home a rose (and not a Red one because I think they are generic lol) a bottle of Pinot Noir for us to split and a bag of my favorite salt and vinegar chips (my current addiction lol). He never does things like that so it was really sweet. The Pinot Noir went quite well with the homemade meatballs and spaghetti i made as well. All in all its been a pretty good week. I have gotten to spend some quality time with my family on my days off and see some long lost friends. Can't really complain about that now can I? lol Hope everyone else had a good week too!

good news bad news

I went to the dentist today, and I am so glad I was smart enough to make sure I had some pain meds left from last time I went. I thought I was getting my permanent crown put on today but it was just a temporary crown. so I have to go back in two more weeks for the permanent crown. They had to laser back some of my gums because they were inflamed. I wonder why? maybe its because that poor tooth has been through hell these past couple of weeks. So I have that to look forward too. I think I will forever remember this semester as the root canal fiasco semester lol.
On a good note my best friend from high school will be in town Saturday night!!!! I had to make sure I was off work on Sunday for recovery time. I only get to see her once or twice a year so we make the time count and will stay out til the wee hours of the morning. So my Saturday night should be great as soon as I leave work. Sunday will be spent nursing a slight hangover that I expect and doing homework. I just can't wait to see her! I am counting down the days, and I think its making time go by slower.
I also got to spend quite a bit of time with my god daughter this week, which is always a positive thing. She is getting so big, and I feel like she learns something new every time I see her. She is sooo precious! The only thing is that she is at the can't sit still stage, so some tasks become more difficult to say the least. I had to get stern with her a few times and she would make a pouty face for a minute than as soon as i was done changinge me lol. She is such a flirt! It is so funny to watch her interact with people. She is very social which I think is a good thing. I am just glad I get to be a part of her life and watch her grown and develop. It is such a great ride! probably because i get to play with her and then go home lol. one day I will get the full experience I just need stability first.

Seriously?!? I am only 22!

I must have the worst luck ever. I am very aware that there are people out there that have it worse than me. So I am still taking antibiotics for my tooth. I got the first half of my root canal done last Tuesday, and I go back to have it finished this coming Wednesday. My back has given me problems for the past couples of years, but lately it has gotten really bad. I will be nauseous and cannot stand the pain is so bad. So I went to the Dr. on Tuesday to see about my back. Turns out I have a nerve in my lower back that's messed up. The option that makes it flare up is the walking motion .... seriously? I wait tables. My job is to walk around for 6 hours at a time.  What am I supposed to do? My bills have to be paid so I have to work. The Dr is putting me on a 6 week regimen of celebrex and a steroid based anti-inflammatory. Problem is I can't even start that til I am all done with my tooth stuff. Because I am still on the antibiotics, and steroids will mess with the healing process and make the antibiotics less effective. By the time I am off work I curl up in my bed and practically cry myself to sleep. It ridiculously pathetic. I just don't know what to do! The situation overall is stressing me out! I am too young and much too broke to have health issues that effect my work. I just need to find myself a nice little job where I get to sit all day, and that involves limited mobility. Anyone know where I can find one of those?
